GRID Alternatives’ Solar Futures K-8 Toolkit is designed to empower anyone to share their enthusiasm for renewable energy. Anyone who wishes to give a presentation in an elementary or middle school classroom can draw from this collection of classroom activities. This can be a great opportunity for professionals in this field to share their knowledge and experience, however, employment in solar or renewable energy is not required.

The toolkit was created in collaboration with SunPower to educate and inspire young students about solar energy, energy conservation, and careers in solar.

About Solar Futures

The Solar Futures program leverages GRID Alternatives’ hands-on solar installation model in order to inspire the next generation of solar leaders. The program provides both classroom and hands-on solar education to K-14 students, with a focus on high school juniors and seniors, to illuminate career pathways in the booming solar industry.

The Solar Futures program is supported by SunPower.
